Everything is Bigger in Texas -- Including Grants for Small Businesses
$100,000 in grants
The Governor's office and the Texas Workforce Commission partnered in their resolve to support small businesses in under served markets. They have set aside $100,000 in grants as part of the Governor's Small Business Service Provider Grant Program.
Some businesses who have already received grants are using the money to develop training programs in the manufacturing industry. Others have used the money to create workshops in Spanish and to organize educational seminars.
The grants are offered to small businesses in Texas to foster more small businesses and Historically Underutilized Businesses (HUBs) in the state of Texas. The role of the Governor’s Office of Small Business Assistance is to provide information and assistance relating to establishing, operating, or expanding small, midsize, women-owned, minority-owned, disability-owned, and veteran-owned businesses.
