Microsoft YouthSpark Grants Offered to Eligible Organizations Whose Mission is to Support Youth

Microsoft YouthSpark Grants Offered to Eligible Organizations Whose Mission is to Support Youth
Microsoft YouthSpark Grants program was created in 2012 for the purpose of helping to create better futures for our youth. The program is a global initiative to create opportunities for 300 million youth by 2015, and it pays cash grants to non-profit organizations whose mission matches the program's goals.

Eligibility requirements

Eligible organizations are those who are non-profit and provide programs that teach youth skills that help them prepare for the workforce, or even become entrepreneurs and start their own business. Programs must teach skills that will help youth find their passion and prepare for a future in medicine, technology, fashion design, science, education, journalism, or entrepreneurship.

Software donations

In addition to cash grants, Microsoft provides software and services to eligible nonprofit organizations. Software donations may be used for a period of two years following the donation. Through these programs, by the end of 2014, the Microsoft YouthSpark program created new opportunities for more than 227 million young people in over 100 countries around the world.
