The Walmart Foundation's State Giving Program -- Grants Up to $250,000 For Non-Profits

Walmart Foundation Grants
Through the Walmart Foundation, non-profit enterprises in all 50 states may apply for business grants ranging from $25,000 to $250,000. Eligible businesses may apply during the four application cycles that are offered every year.

Eligible businesses must be non-profits engaged in work that aligns with the goals of the Walmart Foundation. This includes two primary areas of focus, Focused Giving and Community Engagement Giving.

Focused Giving - includes hunger relief and healthy eating initiatives, and career training. Eligible businesses will be those who provide assistance to low-income citizens to enroll in Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefits or who offer nutrition education. Businesses can also offer career and job training programs.

Community Engagement Giving - this grant focuses on other needs that serve low-income populations, such as health care, education and other services that serve the needs of low-income citizens.

There are a total of four grant application cycles which vary by states. The average grant size is about $40,000.
