One of the biggest expenses for small businesses, either just starting out or expanding, is buying equipment. According to research experts at the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, start-up costs average around $30,000. But Canon, who specializes in the manufacture of photocopiers and computer printers, as well as cameras, camcorders and medical equipment, may have found a solution.
Low-end printing solutions for small businesses
Canon has introduced a new line of inexpensive equipment called Maxify. Their new line of Maxify inkjet printers includes five models that range in price from $150 to $400--very affordable. According to Canon, they are "designed to deliver high speed, high yield, and laser-quality prints." The equipment was developed to specifically serve the needs of small or home-based businesses of 10 people.
Like money in the bank
Most office equipment manufacturers fail to consider the importance of cost to small business owners when it comes to purchasing office equipment. Realizing that they had not really focused on small business before, Canon's research, and consulting with small business owners, unveiled an under-served community--the small business owner. The result is affordable yet highly efficient office equipment that is like money in the bank for small business owners.
Stated Canon USA president and COO, Yuichi Ishizuka, "Canon understands that small businesses are the lifeblood of our economy, and with that in mind, looks to provide this market with the solutions that will help and enhance their businesses."
