Humana Foundation Grants are available to non-profit businesses and other organizations. Grants are awarded in the areas of childhood health, intergenerational health, and active lifestyles.

Grants are awarded to nonprofits whose business is conducted in areas where Humana has a significant business presence. All projects funded must be completed within 18 months. Application periods are from November 1 to January 15 of each year.

Childhood health grants include programs that improve physical activity and nutrition for children. Intergenerational health grants are for programs that increase awareness about healthy behaviors and the importance of physical activity,  and that strengthen relationships between generations. Active lifestyles grants are awarded to projects that increase physical activity among groups of people.

Humana, founded in Louisville, Kentucky in 1961, is a managed health care company that markets and administers health insurance in the United States. They are a for-profit Fortune 500 company. The Humana Foundation was established in 1981 as the philanthropic arm of Humana.
