Michael and Susan Dell Foundation Grants
Eligible organizations must be non-profit. The services provided should demonstrate a measurable impact on the outcome of needy children. The foundation does not fund medical research or fundraisers. Their mission is to provide financial support to nonprofits who are able to provide ongoing services that benefit low-income children.
Foundation grants can range anywhere from $500 to several million dollars. Grants are limited to up to 25 percent of a project’s budget, and up to 10 percent of an organization’s total annual operating expenses.
Businesses applying for a grant must include a clear description of their project and its long-term plan for success. They should include exactly how much they are requesting in grant assistance and how the money will be used. Finally, each request must include an explanation regarding what problem they plan to solve and how it will affect children in poverty areas.
The Michael and Susan Dell Foundation was founded in Austin, Texas, in 1999 and is dedicated to helping impoverished children around the world. The foundation has awarded over $1 billion to nonprofits working to help make a difference in the lives of children who live in poverty-stricken urban regions.
