Small Business Local Buzz Program Giving $5,000 Marketing Grants

Small Business Local Buzz
A new grant program called Small Business Local Buzz was recently announced by Intuit, the maker of QuickBooks. The program is designed to provide marketing support for small businesses and will award 15 small business owners with marketing programs valued at $5,000 each. The new program runs through March 16.

Small businesses wanting to enter the contest need to write and submit a short story that explains how important winning is to their business. Once they submit their story, they will automatically be entered in drawings that take place every week for $500 gift cards. In addition, they will receive a copy of the small business guide, “Building Buzz on a Budget.”

The marketing grant contest is being offered by Intuit, maker of business accounting and business management software such as QuickBooks. The company offers other grant programs, but this new program provides more than financial support. Marketing efforts can be expensive, and the grant includes marketing support services and products such as a small business guide and video as well as consultation on social media.

Intuit has been offering grant programs for small businesses since 2009. Since then, it has awarded approximately $1.2 million in grants to U.S. small businesses.
