Small Businesses Receive Grant Funding From Union Bank Foundation

The Union Bank Foundation of San Francisco, California recently announced grant funding for small businesses in California and the Pacific Northwest.  Non-profit small businesses engaged in providing either technical assistance or home owner counseling may qualify for grants from $25,000 up to $100,000. The grants are offered to qualifying small businesses for three years.

Small Business Technical Assistance Grants help existing small businesses in low- to moderate-income communities who provide technical services. The grant money helps them grow their businesses and revenues and increase jobs in the area. The grants also help businesses gain greater credit opportunities and benefit the community through economic growth.

Home ownership Counseling Grants are offered to small non-profit businesses who provide financial education and home ownership counseling for first-time home buyers. These businesses provide a valuable service for families and individuals by making them more knowledgeable about the home buying and ownership process, loan modification and how to prevent foreclosure.
