Maryland Tech Firms Receive Business Assistance Grants

The Emerging Technology Centers (ETC) in Baltimore City, Maryland have announced the award of eight business assistance and training grants to six different tech companies to help them accelerate development on new technologies.

The recipients are:

Strategic Results - which offers services on data storage and back up, open source applications, web hosting, web based applications, database development and maintenance;

WindCurrent - which provides Renewable Energy Certificates to help clients use power generated from a sustainable windfarm or biomass facility;

Management CV - which provides investors with a structured methodology for analyzing the skill and quality of CEOs and their management teams;

Encore Path - which has developed an exercise device that has been shown in scientific studies to improve arm function and range of motion in people with partial paralysis;

Hospitality Technology Group - which offers solutions such as video surveillance, micros maintenance, PCI DSS compliance, web marketing, and software integration;

MP3Car - an influential online blog and forum for the mobile computing world.

Each year Maryland's technology incubators receive business assistance grants from the Technology Development Corporation (TEDCO) as part of their commitment to be the State's leading source of funding for entrepreneurial business assistance.
